PLI Ministry Moments January 2018

PLI Ministry Moments

Christmas and Epiphany blessings to one and all. Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support as we continue our journey with PLI.

This year has been a blessing and it has also been very busy. We have had times with our group in Florida for our Immersions and also bi-weekly meetings with our PLI huddles and also with our Community group here in San Leandro.

Our immersions have been enlightening and challenging, it is not easy to learn new things and implement them, but we are encouraged and excited about learning how to serve the Lord better and reach out to our neighbors. We are looking forward to our final immersion that will take place in April of 2018. It will be great to see everyone again, and sad as well knowing this will be the last time we will get together like this. We have made wonderful friends and prayer partners. These are people who pray with us, encourage us, and support us. We have grown to love and respect each and every one of them. I thank God for these friends and partners. Our friendships will continue, we just won’t be getting together every six months, but I know I have people I can call and get the support, prayers and encouragement that is needed to continue God’s plan of sharing HIS message.

Our Community group meets every two weeks and I thank God for their love, support and willingness to serve the Lord. From St. Peter’s, Geneva Brutlag has been very faithful and willing to serve and try new and different things, things that are not necessarily comfortable.  She is amazing and her willingness to share God’s love with everyone she meets is a true inspiration. From Grace, Sharon Morgret and Kay Sullivan have been faithful and willing servants of God’s Word and work.  From Zion, we have been privileged to have Steve Harger and Pastor Paul Aldrich who have been very supportive and willing servants. They are part of our extended support system and we appreciate all they continue to do. These individuals are part of our support system and people who not only encourage us, but who hold us accountable. I thank God daily for them and keep them in my prayers as they keep me in theirs.

As members of St. Peter’s and Grace, you too are very important in this journey. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to learn and reach out to our community and all God’s people we come in contact with. Your prayers and support are very important to us and treasured. If you would be interested in learning more about the Community group or getting another Community group started, please talk with me or Pastor, we would be willing to encourage you in your endeavors of reaching God’s people.

Blessings to you all,

Debbie Oatman
